At Le Rêve Noir, we preserve what we call Heritage Lines — the authentic breeding lines that originated with the founders of the breed; defined by body type rather than color. Our horses look different because they are: they are the originals.
Our goal is to produce the finest lineage of Gypsy Vanner horses in South America through selective breeding grounded in rare heritage genetics, paying homage to the creators who shaped this remarkable horse as we know it today.
After the Second World War, a visionary dream began to take place between the traveling people of Great Britain and Ireland known as Gypsies. These families embraced their nomadic heritage and proudly created a colorful draft horse perfectly adapted to their needs.

Our Horses
Carefully selected from foundational bloodlines — what we call Heritage Lines — our horses are supported by DNA verification to ensure adherence to the breed standard.
Many carry up to fifteen generations of documented lineage, with over a century of revered heritage flowing through their blood, tracing back to the earliest North American breeders as well as the nomadic Romani horsemen of England, Ireland, and Wales.
Several of these lines are among the first of their kind in South America, and today are represented exclusively here at Le Rêve Noir® in Colombia.
